All teachers and assistants are CPR certified.
Mary has been with ORCS for over 23 years, she taught the 3s and 4s classes for 11 years and has served as the Director for the past 12 years. She previously taught 1st, 3rd, 5th, and 6th grades in Florida and New Jersey. She was born in Illinois and was raised in Orlando, Florida. She graduated from Florida State University with a B.S. in Child Development with Early Childhood and Elementary Education certifications. She is married to Charlie and has one son. She enjoys reading, sporting events (especially ones involving her beloved FSU Seminoles!), travel, theatre, symphony, staying in touch with friends and family, and children.
Cheryl has been with ORCS for 6 years. She was born and raised locally and is married to Don; they have 2 children. She enjoys camping, visiting the ocean and Dixie, Idaho, and reading.
Karen has been with ORCS for 7 years. She was born and raised in California and received an M.S. in Speech Pathology from the University of Washington. She is married to Matt and has 2 children. She enjoys quilting, sewing, traveling, family activities, and music.
Linda has been with ORCS for 19 years. She previously taught for 10 years in the Northshore School District. She was born and raised in Spokane and received her B.A. degree in Education from Eastern Washington University. She is married to Dave and has 3 children. She enjoys reading, traveling, vanilla lattes, and flowers.
Jan has been with ORCS for 18 years. She was born and raised in Wenatchee and attended Wenatchee Valley College. She is married to Jeff and has 2 children. She enjoys reading mysteries and cookbooks, crocheting, gardening, country music, and her granddaughter.
Sue has been at ORCS for 6 years. She was born in Minnesota and is marred to Steve and has 2 children. She enjoys dried flower arranging, crafts, shopping, collecting flamingoes, and her grandchildren.
Sue has been at ORCS for 7 years. She previously taught preschool in California. She is married to Scott and has 2 children. She enjoys travel, cooking, running, reading, and family activities.
Christa is new to the ORCS staff this year. She is married and all three of her boys are ORCS alumni.
Susan has been at ORCS for 14 years. She was born in Hollywood, California and raised in Sacramento. She received a B.A. in Geography and Urban Planning from Sacramento State University and completed graduate work at the university. She is married to Joe and has 2 children. She enjoys cookbooks, cats, shopping, Mexican food, and travel.
Deb has been at ORCS for 7 years. She was born and raised in Garden Grove, California. She received a B.A. in Urban Geography from Trinity Western University in Vancouver, British Columbia. She is married to Terry and has 2 children. She enjoys sewing, quilting, cooking, reading, gardening, and classic movies.
Helen is returning to ORCS from the Lake Washington School District, where she taught in the Ready Start Program. Prior to that, she taught at ORCS for 13 years.
Jane has been at ORCS for 8 years. She was born and raised in Mount Vernon. She received a B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Washington. She is married to Dick and has 3 children. She enjoys gardening, sewing, quilting, Mexican food, and soft rock music.
Bonnie received an A.A. degree from Edmonds Community College. She is married to Rick and has 2 children. She enjoys shopping, crafts, sewing, and family activities.
Julie has been at ORCS for 11 years. She was born in southern California and raised in Kirkland. She graduated from Juanita High School and Bellevue Beauty School. She is married to Bill and has 2 children. She enjoys music, dancing, camping, and family activities, especially with her twin sister.
Sharon has been at ORCS for 25 years, she taught the 4s classes for 14 years, and Kindergarten for 11 years. She previously taught public school in Bellingham. She was born and raised in Kirkland and Redmond. She received a B.A. in Elementary Education from Western Washington University. She is married to Pete and has 2 children. She enjoys music, reading, Thai food, scrapbooking, collecting teddy bears, live entertainment, and her four grandchildren.
