About Our School

Our Redeemer Christian School is a non-discriminatory, non-denominational educational institution. Our Redeemer Christian School serves as an extension of the Christian ministry of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church and an outreach program to our neighborhood community.

Each child at Our Redeemer Christian School is valued as a special person in his/her own right, a person unique and of worth because God created him/her. Our emphasis is based on Christian attitudes and beliefs in a positive and supportive atmosphere.

Our Redeemer Christian School is a non-profit, 501(c)3, Federal Tax Exempt Organization; EIN 91-0986000.

Classes

We offer preschool and kindergarten classes for children aged 2 to 6 years old. Our classrooms provide an enriching, developmentally appropriate atmosphere with an excellent child / adult ratio.

We can enroll 138 students.

We are located Our Redeemer Lutheran Church on the corner of NE 140th Street and 116th Ave NE, in the Kingsgate neighborhood of Kirkland, WA.

2010/11 ORCS Board

The ORCS Board consists of elected members from the ORCS parent community, as well as representatives from ORLC. The board meets on the second Monday of each month at 7:00 PM, see the calendar for all dates and times. All monthly board meetings are open to all ORCS parents.

The Board shall control all matters of policy, and the acquisition and expenditure of funds, subject to the review of the ORLC Council. Anyone present at a board meeting may discuss Board matters and/or make a second motion. However, only the eight voting Board Members may vote on the motion.

2010/11 Finance Committee

The Finance Committee consists of elected members from the ORCS parent community as well as representatives from ORLC. The Finance Committee meets on the first Monday of each month at 7:00 PM, see the calendar for all dates and times. All monthly committee meetings are open to all ORCS parents.

The committee is responsible for managing the ORCS budget, maintaining financial accounts, and preparing recommendations and reports to the ORCS Board.
